HOW IT HAPPENED
Irving, Texas  – The Eagles got a balanced offensive performance in Sunday's 3-0 shutout win over conference opponent University of Dallas. Giovanni Casias got the Eagles on the scoreboard in the 20th minute when he connected on a penalty kick. Dallas would actually take more shots (8 to 5) than the Eagles in the first half. But starting goalkeeper Maksym Maliutenko fought off each shot and had four saves. In the second half, the Eagles kept up the attacking pressure. In the 81st minute, Rasto Rimbo sprinted down the field beating his defender, then lept over a diving goalkeeper to score a goal in the box. Casias received the assist after recognizing a sprinting Rimbo. The final goal came with just about one minute remaining in the match. Jordan Grimaldo would score and secure the match. Casias finished with four shots and Rimbo had three. Maliutenko would finish with six saves.

KEY STATISTICS
The Eagles scored a goal in the 81st minute on the one-two punch of Casias and Rimbo to provide a 2-0 advantage.
