HOW IT HAPPENED
Irving, Texas  – The Eagles opened conference play on the road against University of Dallas and came up short, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon in Texas. Both teams were able to create scoring opportunities, but it was Dallas that scored both times. The Crusaders scored in the 22nd minute and held that lead going into halftime. Dallas would take nine shots in the first half while the Eagles had three. The match remained 1-0 until the Crusaders scored again in the 72nd minute. The Eagles would generate five shots in the second half, but couldn't connect. 

KEY STATISTICS
Dallas had seven shots on goal and connected on two of those for goals.

The Eagles will travel to Seguin, Texas, to face Texas Lutheran University October 3.
