THE BASICS
Kerrville, Texas – The Eagles posted a 70-56 conference win over Schreiner University on Friday night in Texas. The Eagles controlled the game from the start holding a 20-8 first quarter lead. The Eagles ended the first half with a 36-18 advantage. Schreiner trimmed the deficit to single digits in the third quarter, but the Eagles answered every threat. In the fourth, the lead climbed to over twenty points, including a 68-45 advantage on Abby Beene's free throw with 2:58 remaining. The Eagles benefited from a 7-of-12 (58%) performance from the three-point line in the game and owned a 40-27 rebound advantage. The Eagles defense created 16 turnovers.  

TURNING POINT
The Eagles started off strong owning a 20-8 lead after the first quarter and then never let Schreiner back into the game. 

TIP-IN'S
Abby Beene turned in a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. It was her third of the season.
