Clarksville, Ark. – A pair of University of the Ozarks men's basketball players received post-season awards from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC).
Dylan Archey and
Eyal Shamri made the All-SCAC Honorable Mention Team. Shamri was additionally named to the All-Freshman Team.
Archey, a junior guard from Allen, Texas, ranked among the SCAC's top-20 in three categories. He was 11th in assists per game (3.0), 13th in steals per game (1.6) and 16th in three-point percentage (36%). A starter in all 25 games, Archey was the team's second leading scorer (11.3) and scored a career high 30 points against Colorado College. He was the team leader in steals, assists, three-point percentage and three-pointers made (54). The 5-foot-11 Archey had 15 games scoring in double figures. He had four steals against two different opponents and dished out a season-best seven assists against Millsaps.
Shamri, a freshman guard from Herzliya, Israel, ranked eighth in the SCAC in scoring (15.7), 14th in field goal percentage (49%) and 19th in three-point percentage (34%). He reached double figures in scoring 15 times and scored 20 or more points seven times. Against Texas Lutheran, he scored 34 points behind a 5-of-11 effort from the three-point line. He finished the season with three 30-plus point games. The 6-foot-2 Shamri hit two or more three-pointers in 11 games.
