Memphis, TN - The University of the Ozarks volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday at the Rhodes College Tournament.
The Cru controlled the match offensively, recording 40 kills on 100 attacks while hitting .290 as a team. Ozarks finished with 20 kills on 91 attacks and hit .044.
Brooke Humphrey led the Eagles with six kills on 23 attacks and added 11 digs. Claire Zeiler recorded four kills, while Emerson Corbin and Caylie Apperson each added three kills.
At the net, Jillian Childs paced the Eagles with eight assists, three aces and a block. Caylie Apperson contributed two blocks, while Claire Zeiler and Brooke Humphrey each recorded a block.
Defensively, Humphrey's 11 digs were tied for the team high with Lauralai Bradley, who also finished with 11 digs. Genesis O'Neal-Soto added six digs, while Zeiler recorded five.
The Eagles will travel to Brownwood, Texas, to take on Howard Payne University and Austin College September 18-19.
