Clarksville, Ark. - The University of the Ozarks men's soccer team battled Huntingdon College to a 2-2 draw Saturday at the Thomas and Frances Wilson Complex.
The Eagles and Hawks traded goals in an evenly matched contest, with Ozarks finding the back of the net twice in the second half.
Ozarks generated eight shots, putting five on target. Junior forward Jordan Grimaldo led the Eagles offensively with four shots, including three on goal, and scored twice to account for both Ozarks goals.
Grimaldo opened his scoring account with a goal to give the Eagles an offensive spark in the 54th minute. Grimaldo then delivered his second goal of the contest to bring the Eagles even at 2-2. Ozarks continued to pressure the Huntingdon defense but was unable to find the go-ahead goal during the remainder of regulation.
Defensively, Ozarks received a strong 90-minute effort from goalkeeper Maksym Maliutenko, who finished with two saves.
Huntingdon finished with seven shots and four shots on goal.
The Eagles will travel to Mississippi for a match against University of Mississippi for Women September 7.
