THE BASICS
McMurry University won its first conference match of the season by scoring two goals in the second half and held off the Eagles when Madison Chaney scored in the 82nd minute for a 2-1 win. After a scoreless first half, McMurry recorded a goal in the 65th minute to take a 1-0 advantage. McMurry then added another goal in the 74th minute on a penalty kick, but the Eagles answered with a goal in the 82nd minute to trim the deficit to 2-1.
