THE BASICS
The Hendrix College Warriors fought off a number of quality shots on goal from the Eagles to pick up a 2-0 win Thursday. Hendrix powered its way to seven shots in the first half, connecting on one in the 35th minute to lead 1-0. The Eagles countered with pressure on the attack and posted several shots that had equal opportunity to find the back of the net. In fact, CJ Burns hit the cross bar on a rocket shot that appeared to cross the goal line, but was not called a goal. Madison Chaney created offensive opportunities for the Eagles, but the Warrior defense kept the home team off the board. Hendrix scored again in the 74th minute.
