THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark. – The Eagles fought off a scrappy Hendrix College team to take a 66-59 win on Saturday. The Eagles led 29-22 at halftime and then built a 13-point lead in the second half before Hendrix made a comeback. Over a four-minute span, the Warriors climbed within 55-52. But Josh Ukpe drilled a key three-pointer with 3:43 remaining to rally the Eagles. Ukpe would hit another three-pointer at the 2:01 mark to give the Eagles a 63-54 advantage. The Warriors never recovered and the Eagles gained their sixth win of the season. Ukpe finished with 18 points and went 4-of-5 from the three-point line. Tim Eldridge had 16 points and hit 3-of-4 from the three-point line.
