THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark. – The Eagles have hit a hot streak winning their fourth game in a row cruising to a 70-55 non-conference win against Sul Ross State University on Saturday. The Eagles had the game in hand from the beginning and answered every Lobo run while taking care of the ball throughout the game. The Eagles led 39-26 behind shooting 53 percent from the floor in the second quarter. The Eagles opened the third quarter with a steal from Naomi Smith, who dished it to Amanda Turpin for an easy layup. Four minutes later, the Eagles led by 20 points, which came on a three-point play from Smith. Heading into the fourth quarter, the Eagles led 59-38. Sul Ross had a slight scoring advantage in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles never let their lead dip into single digits. Sul Ross hit just 1-of-12 from the three-point line in the game. The Eagles committed just eight turnovers in the game. Smith led the team with 19 points.
