HOW IT HAPPENED
Sherman, Texas – The Eagles scored a pair of first half goals and then held off Austin College in the second half for a 2-1 road win on Sunday. The Eagles have now won two conference matches in a row and finish out the regular season playing four of six games at home.
Juan De La Rosa scored in the 15
th minute to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
Rasto Rimbo then scored in the 41
st minute to make it 2-0 going into halftime. The Eagles owned a 9-7 shots advantage in the first half. Austin College came out in the second half and took ten shots forcing Eagle goalkeeper Abdoulali Jirani Ibrahim into four saves. Austin College did net a goal in the 54
th minute, but the Eagles defense held up the rest of the way.
