THE BASICS
Jackson, Miss. - The Eagles scored over 80 points for the third straight game and cruised to a 81-57 win over Millsaps College on Friday night. The Eagles trailed just once in the game and that came early. The Eagles hit all 12 of their free throw attempts in the first half and led 40-28 after twenty minutes of play. The Eagles would lead by double digits for most of the second half. Cedrick Dodd's layup at the 7:45 mark of the second half gave the Eagles a 21 point advantage. The Eagles defense forced 21 turnovers and converted those into 30 points. Dodd paced the team with 25 points behind a 3-of-6 performance from the three-point line and a 8-of-10 performance from the free throw line.
