THE BASICS

Josh Ukpe hit seven three-pointers and the Eagles led almost the entire way winning 87-67 against McMurry University on Saturday. It is the second straight win for the Eagles. McMurry led early in the game, but the Eagles rallied behind three three-pointers from Ukpe. After a jumper from
Timquorian Johnson at the 15:10 mark, the Eagles led the rest of the way. At the half, the Eagles were ahead 50-29 and shot 50 percent from the field. In the second half, McMurry made a couple of runs, but the Eagles dominating offensive performance offset any serious threat.
Jordan Jenkins had a pair of monster dunks to ignite the Eagles crowd and provide even more momentum. Ukpe finished with 25 points and went 7-of-13 from the three-point line.

The Eagles dominated most of the game holding a lead for nearly 35 minutes.

Josh Ukpe finished with 25 points and went 7-of-13 from the three-point line. Saturday's seven three's are a season high for Ukpe. Ukpe hit five three-pointers in two other games.
