Eagles Split ASC Double-Header With UT Dallas

Game One Overview
Lucas, Texas – Conner Reed hit a clutch three-run homer in the ninth inning to push the Eagles to a 6-5 win over UT Dallas in game one. The game, which started on Saturday and finished on Sunday due to weather conditions, saw the Eagles score three runs in the third inning and then three more off Reed's homer. Cole Clark ripped a two-run single in the third and Isaac Price followed with an RBI single. Heading into the fifth inning, the Eagles led 3-2. UT Dallas then took a 4-3 advantage after scoring two runs in the seventh and then added another run in the eighth. In the top of the ninth, Ethan Cash led off with a single. With one out, Daulton Johnson singled to shortstop for two runners on base. Reed then blasted a home run to give the Eagles a 6-5 win. Jose Sciana took the mound in the bottom of the ninth and retired the side to secure the game. Reed and Jake Dempsey each had two hits. Jhasir Camano received the win in relief.

Game Two Overview
The Comets used a steady dose of offense to upend the Eagles 7-1 in game two. The Comets scored three times in the first inning and then produced runs in the second, third, fifth and sixth innings. The Eagles posted their lone run in the sixth when Nicholas Bennett tripled in a run. The Eagles totaled five hits while the Comets had seven.
