THE BASICS
Houston, Texas – University of St. Thomas built a 41-33 halftime lead and then went on to a 76-52 win over the Eagles Friday night in conference play. St. Thomas had a strong shooting night hitting over 51 percent from the field while holding the Eagles to around 27 percent in the game. The Eagles opened the second half with a nice run to trim the deficit to 43-39, but St. Thomas answered with an 8-0 run to spark a double digit lead the rest of the way.

TURNING POINT
After the Eagles trimmed the deficit to four points five minutes into the second half, St. Thomas reeled off an 8-0 run to spark a double digit lead the rest of the way.
