THE BASICS
Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Eagles were unable to hold onto a 27-26 halftime lead as the nationally-ranked Colorado College Tigers stormed back to take a 72-48 win. The Eagles held a narrow 14-13 lead after one quarter and then battled back from an eight-point deficit late in the second quarter. The Eagles finished the second quarter on a 9-0 run. The Tigers exploded for 25 points in the third quarter to hold a 51-40 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Tigers then opened the fourth quarter with a 8-0 run to take control of the game. Naomi Smith led the Eagles with 22 points.
