THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark. – Centenary College pulled out a 69-68 victory over the Eagles in conference play on Saturday behind a late three-point play from Craig Collier. The Eagles led 68-66 after Cedrick Dodd hit a pair of free throws with 32 seconds left, but Collier drove to the lane with 14 ticks on the clock and made his shot attempt while being fouled. Collier hit the free throw giving the Eagle another possession. The Eagles couldn't connect on a three-point shot as time expired. The Eagles held a 34-31 halftime lead and later built a double digit lead in the second half. However, Centenary fought back and eventually took a one point lead at the 10:31 mark. The two teams exchanged leads the rest of the way before Centenary made the final basket. Eric Gooden led the Eagles with 18 points.

TURNING POINT
With the Eagles holding a two point advantage with 32 second left in the game, Centenary would score a clutch basket and hit the ensuing free throw shot with 14 seconds remaining, which proved to be the game-winner.

TIP-INS
Eric Gooden missed just three shots from the field hitting 7-of-10.
