Clarksville, Ark. – The Eagles hosted Hendrix College on Saturday in their final home match of the season and lost 3-0 (25-9, 25-19, 25-12).
In the first set, Hendrix jumped out to a commanding 15-4 lead and never let the Eagles get within striking distance. Things were different in the second set as the score was tied 12-12 early in the game. But the Warriors responded with four straight points. The Eagles climbed back in cutting the deficit to 18-17. But the Warriors scored five of the final six points to secure set two. In set three, the Eagles were tied, 4-4, but Hendrix scored seven straight points and the Eagles never recovered.
Brooke Humphrey had 14 kills, Lauralai Bradley recorded seven digs and Gabby Dotson had eight assists.
The Eagles will travel to Sherman, Texas, on November 8 to play Austin College at 1 p.m. and East Texas Baptist University at 3 p.m.
