Clarksville, Ark. – East Texas Baptist University used a size advantage and a big third quarter to upend the Eagles 69-51 on Tuesday night. The first quarter saw both teams going back and forth with the Tigers eventually owning a 13-10 lead heading into the second quarter. The Tigers shot 69 percent from the field in the second to hold a 35-22 halftime advantage. Heading into the fourth quarter, the Eagles trailed by 20 points, but

Lila Hartness later followed with a three-pointer.
Abby Beene's jumper at the 6:18 mark cut the deficit to 57-42. But that would be as close as the Eagles could get. The Tigers went to the free throw line 25 times while the Eagles were given eight opportunities in the game. Hartness paced the Eagles with ten points.

East Texas Baptist had 22-point back-to-back quarters (2nd & 3rd) to pull away from the Eagles.
