THE BASICS
Batesville, Ark. – The Eagles up-tempo offense combined with its full-court pressing defense was too much for Lyon College as Ozarks won 107-76 Saturday afternoon in Batesville. It is the program's most points scored since the 2000-2001 season (109 points). The Eagles would score 40 points in the fourth quarter behind a 70 percent shooting percentage from the field. The Eagles would trail 42-41 at halftime, but would have two big quarters to close out the game. The Eagles led 67-56 after three quarters and then hit 14-of-20 from the field and 11-of-11 from the free throw line in the fourth. The Eagles forced 22 turnovers in the game.
Abby Beene scored 32 points on 13-of-23 shooting from the field. She hit 4-of-8 from the three-point line. Beene also grabbed 13 rebounds for a double-double. Four other Eagles reached double figures in scoring.
TURNING POINT
The Eagles put up four points a minute in the fourth quarter to overwhelm the Scots.
TIP-INS
Abby Beene torched the Scots for 32 points on 13-of-23 shooting from the field. Four of those field goals were three-pointers. 107 points are the most since the 2000-01 season.
