THE BASICS
Jackson, Miss. – Millsaps College avenged an early loss to the Eagles by posting a 89-74 home win on Tuesday. Millsaps jumped out to a 46-35 halftime lead and then owned an 18-point advantage five minutes into the second half. The Majors kept a substantial lead the rest of the way. Millsaps was aided by grabbing 52 rebounds in the game. Eyal Shamri was impressive again scoring 33 points off the bench. Shamri hit 13-of-29 from the floor, including 4-of-7 from the three-point line. 

TURNING POINT
Millsaps College pulled away in the second half building a double-digit lead, including an 18-point advantage five minutes into half.

TIP-INS
Eyal Shamri had another strong performance scoring 33 points on 13-of-29 from the floor. Shamri hit 4-of-7 from the three-point line.

The Eagles will open conference play by hosting Hendrix College on January 2 and then travel to Conway to play Hendrix again on January 4.
