THE BASICS
Jackson, Miss. – The Eagles traveled to Jackson, Mississippi, to face Millsaps College and came away with a 81-69 setback on Tuesday ending their four-game win streak. Millsaps had a strong start to the game owning a 22-10 lead after the first quarter. The Eagles fought back in the second and third quarter. The Eagles outscored Millsaps 16-11 in the third quarter to make it 53-45 heading into the final ten minutes of action. The Eagles immediately cut the deficit to 53-47 on
Abby Beene's jumper. But Millsaps built a double-digit lead and went ahead by 13 points with 3:36 remaining in the game behind a sizzling 57 percent shooting from the field. The Eagles were out rebounded 43-28.
Dalena Fisher had a strong game leading the team with 19 points off the bench. Fisher went 4-of-4 from the free throw line and 7-of12 from the floor.
TURNING POINT
The Eagles cut the deficit to six points on two occasions early in the fourth quarter, but Millsaps responded each time and stretched the lead to double-digits.
TIP-INS
Dalena Fisher scored 19 points in 19 minutes off the bench for the Eagles. Fisher went 7-of-12 from the field.

The Eagles will open conference play by hosting Hendrix College on January 2 and then travel to Conway to play Hendrix again on January 4.
