THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark. – Hendrix College handed the Eagles a conference-opening 79-67 loss on Friday night. The Eagles seemed to be playing catch up all night as the Warriors controlled the momentum. Hendrix opened the first quarter hitting 52 percent from the field, including making four three-pointers to hold a 24-13 lead. The Eagles fought back in the second quarter, but still trailed 46-31 at halftime. The final two quarters went the Warriors way as they held a double-digit advantage the entire way.
Kennedi Wight led the Eagles with 23 points behind a 3-of-5 performance from the three-point line.
