THE BASICS
Conway, Ark. – Hendrix College made a late comeback to upend the Eagles 75-73 on Sunday to win its second game against Ozarks this weekend. The Eagles held a 70-65 lead with five minutes to play before the Warriors made a run and took the lead for good with 1:13 remaining in the game. The Eagles started the game leading 17-14 after the first quarter, but Hendrix battled back to score 23 points in the second quarter and held a 37-31 halftime advantage. The Eagles mounted a comeback in the fourth quarter eventually grabbing the lead on
Abby Beene's three-pointer with 6:19 left. But the Warriors went on a 9-0 run over a four-minute stretch to secure the game. Beene led the Eagles with 22 points behind a 6-of-13 shooting performance from the three-point line.
Lili Garcia and
Kennedi Wight added 15 points.

With the Eagles leading by five points with five minutes to play, Hendrix went on a 9-0 run to secure the game.
