HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark. – For the second straight match, the Eagles ended with a 2-2 tie after a hard fought battle against Lyon College on Sunday. Lyon College came out in the first half and took nine shots. But it was the Eagles who scored first. The dynamic Jordan Grimaldo scored in the 22nd minute on a ball from Tristan Silence. Ozarks goalkeeper Maksym Maliutenko made several nice saves in the match, including back-to-back stops in the 18th minute to keep Lyon from scoring. Lyon would score a goal on a rocket shot from 25 yards out in the 35th minute to make it 1-1. Lyon would go in front 2-1 on a goal in the 43rd minute. The Eagles would tie the game in the 64th minute off a corner kick from Giovanni Casias. The ball was kicked around and eventually cleaned up by Taegan Schnurr.
