HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark. – The Eagles and Millsaps College battled to a 0-0 tie on a hot Sunday afternoon non-conference match at the Wilson Athletic Complex. The two teams had similar statistics in the first half with the Eagles tallying eight shots and the Majors recording six. The Eagles had five saves while the Majors had four saves in the first 45 minutes of play. The Eagles did own a 4-1 corner kicks advantage. Late in the match, the Eagles got a scoring opportunity on back-to-back attacks. Halle Hernandez took a clean shot in the 80th minute that the goalkeeper made a save on. Hernandez then rebounded a ball and took a shot that hit off the post. In the end, neither team could muster a goal. The Eagles held a slight 12-11 shots advantage in the match. Jayla Lucas had eight saves in goal for the Eagles.
