HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark. – Senior captain Gigi Miller score two beautiful goals and the Eagles produced five goals in Wednesday night's 5-2 win over Lyon College. The Eagles put on an offensive show all night with 16 shots and nine shots on goal.
Dakota McKee got the Eagles going early with a goal in the 7th minute. Miller then scored her first goal in the 36
th minute to make it 2-0. Lyon would counter with a goal in the 37th minute. The score remained 2-1 at halftime, but the Eagles came out early in the second half with more offense.
Amara Hernandez scored in the 49th minute. After Lyon added a goal about one minute later,
Addison Featherstone found the back of the net in the 54th minute. Miller then scored on a free kick from 25 yards to put the crowd on its feet and make it 5-2. 11 different Eagle players had shots in the match. The Eagles owned a 12-0 advantage on corner kicks.
