Longview, Texas - The Eagles took on conference opponent LeTourneau University Saturday afternoon and came up short losing 3-0.
 
The Eagles had a strong start to the first set owning a 3-0 lead. The Eagles eventually moved ahead 17-14 and later had a 22-19 lead. But LeTourneau would score six of the final seven points to complete a 25-23 comeback win.
The Eagles had another strong start to begin the second set going up 3-0. After leading 6-2, the Eagles would lose the next six points and LeTourneau never let go of the lead again earning a 25-16 win.
In the third set, LeTourneau would edge the Eagles 25-22. LeTourneau opened the game with a point and never looked back as they never let the Eagles grab a single lead.
     
Arianna Gomez had 16 kills while Lauralai Bradley had 17 digs. Alyssa Carlisle had 16 assists.

The Eagles will play at Centenary College September 28.
