THE BASICS
Seguin, Texas – The Eagles hit 46 percent from the three-point line but it wouldn't be enough as Texas Lutheran University pulled out a 106-92 win on Friday in conference play. The Eagles would drill ten three-pointers in the first half and held a 25-23 lead at the 9:53 mark. But the Bulldogs fought back and went into halftime leading 52-41. The Eagles would stay hot from the field hitting 52 percent in the second half and hit four more three-pointers. The Bulldogs would better the Eagles from the floor in the second half shooting 58 percent to help build a double-digit lead for most of the way. Three Eagle starters reached double figures in scoring with
Eyal Shamri pouring in 34 points behind a 5-of-11 effort from long distance.
TURNING POINT
After the Eagles trimmed the deficit to ten points at the 14-minute mark of the second half, the Bulldogs went on an 8-1 run to pull away.
TIP-INS
The Eagles hit 14-of-30 (46%) from the three-point line, its second best effort of the season.
