THE BASICS
Shreveport, La. – The Eagles avenged an earlier frustrating loss against Centenary College to upend the Gents 68-61 on Saturday in Louisiana. On February 7, the Eagles lost to Centenary by two points in a game that could have go either way and came down the last possession of the game. This time the Eagles clung to the victory in a second half comeback. The Eagles trailed 35-32 at halftime, but outscored the Gents 36-26 in the second half. The Eagles hit 46 percent from the field in the second half and 83 percent from the free throw line. The Eagles took a 50-48 lead at the midway point of the second half and never gave it up the rest of the way. Vanya Nikolic's basket and free throw secured the win and a 66-58 lead with 30 seconds remaining. Nikolic pulled 14 rebounds and Adam Lopez finished with 20 points.

TURNING POINT
An Adam Lopez bucket gave the Eagles a 50-48 lead at the ten-minute mark of the second half, and a lead the Eagles wouldn't relinquish. 

TIP-INS
Senior Adam Lopez was again efficient in the paint hitting 7-of-15 (46%) from the field to scored 20 points. Lopez also hit 6-of-8 from the free throw line. This comes after he missed just one shot from the field on Friday night.
