Clarksville, Ark. - The Eagles and Lyon College split a softball double-header as the Kuhn family went head-to-head on Tuesday night. Ozarks head coach David Kuhn and daughter Taylor, who is the head coach at Lyon College, had a night full of ups and downs. David's Eagles took a 9-0 win in game one, but Taylor got the best of her dad as her Scots battled back to earn a 9-8 win in game two.

The Eagles pitching staff threw a one-hitter and Madison Sadler ended the game with a three-run homer.
Game Summary
After a scoreless first inning, Ozarks broke through in the second. Lori-Ann Hughes delivered a two-RBI single, plating Jorden Hodges and Amber Bryant. Emma Reynolds followed with a sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 3-0.
The Eagles added three more runs in the third. Isabella Hulsey doubled to center to score a run, and Grace Price followed with a two-RBI single to push the advantage to 6-0.
Ozarks put the game away in the fifth when Madison Sadler launched a three-run home run, scoring Kamryn Uher and Hulsey to cap the scoring at 9-0.

In the circle, Amber Bryant threw three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit. Bailee Cowell earned the win (2-0) with two shutout innings of relief, striking out one and allowing no hits.

The Eagles mounted a furious late rally but came up just short in a 9-8 loss.
Ozarks outhit Lyon 10-7 but couldn't overcome a big third inning and a late insurance push by the Scots.
Game Recap
Lyon struck first in the second inning, but Ozarks answered quickly when Madison Sadler singled home Lori-Ann Hughes to tie the game 1-1.
The decisive frame came in the third. Lyon erupted for five runs, highlighted by a two-RBI double and a two-run single.
Ozarks chipped away with a run in the third on an RBI groundout by Kendall Lynch and added another in the fifth to cut the deficit to 6-3.
Lyon extended its lead in the sixth, capitalizing on defensive miscues to score three runs and move ahead 9-3.
The Eagles responded with their biggest inning of the night in the bottom half. Ozarks plated five runs, sparked by a bases-loaded walk to Kamryn Uher, a Brilea Rofkahr RBI single, and a two-RBI fielder's choice from Sage Adams. The rally brought Ozarks within 9-8, but the tying run was left stranded.
