Clarksville, Ark. - Texas Lutheran University used a big second inning and an 18-hit offensive performance to defeat the Eagles 13-4 Friday in game one at Katt-Isbel Field in Seguin, Texas.

Ozarks jumped out to an early lead in the first inning. Gabriel Ellison doubled to left center to score Taber Childs before Connor Reed followed with an RBI single to give the Eagles a 2-0 advantage.

Texas Lutheran answered immediately in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game at 2-2.

The Bulldogs took control in the second inning, scoring four runs. 

Ozarks fought back in the third inning with two runs. Jacob Knox doubled down the left field line to drive in Connor Reed, and Langdon Townsend followed with an RBI single to cut the deficit to 6-4.

Texas Lutheran responded again with a run in the third and three more in the fourth to push the lead to 10-4. The Bulldogs added three more runs in the seventh inning to close out the scoring and secure the 13-4 victory.

Ozarks finished with seven hits in the contest. Reed led the Eagles with two hits, while Ellison, Knox and Townsend each drove in a run.

The Eagles lost game two 8-5 after the Bulldogs scored five runs in the eighth.

Game Two

The Bulldogs rallied late to defeat the Eagles baseball 8-5 in game two.

Ozarks broke a scoreless tie in the third inning when Matthew McDonald launched a two-run home run to put the Eagles ahead 2-0.

Texas Lutheran got on the board in the sixth inning to cut the deficit to 2-1.

The Eagles added to their lead in the seventh inning as Langdon Townsend singled to left center to score Connor Reed, giving Ozarks a 3-1 advantage. However, the Bulldogs responded in the bottom half of the inning, tying the game at 3-3 on a wild pitch and an RBI groundout by Brayden Sprencel.

Ozarks regained the lead in the eighth inning when McDonald delivered again with a two-run single to push the Eagles ahead 5-3.

Texas Lutheran answered immediately with a five-run eighth inning to take control. The Bulldogs used a mix of hits, walks, hit batters, and Ozarks errors to score five runs.

Ozarks collected 12 hits in the game, led by McDonald, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI including a two-run home run. Connor Reed added a double and scored twice, while Tyler Michlitsch and Rene Garcia each recorded two hits.

Boyd Peck delivered a strong start for Ozarks, allowing just three runs (one earned) over 6.2 innings.

Texas Lutheran managed just five hits in the game but capitalized on five walks and four hit batters to complete the comeback victory.
 
The Eagles and Bulldogs will finish their series Saturday at 1 p.m.
