Game Three Overview
Clarksville, Ark. - Schreiner University salvaged the series winning game three 10-7 on Sunday morning against the Eagles. The Eagles let a 4-3 lead slip away late in the game as Schreiner scored three runs in the seventh and eighth innings, and two more runs in the ninth. Rene Garcia homered in the third to even the score 1-1. The Eagles took a 3-1 advantage in the fourth, but Schreiner answered with a run in the fifth. The Eagles responded in the sixth as Taber Childs singled in a run. Schreiner would hit a three-run homer in the seventh that changed the game. The Mountaineers followed that with a two-run homer in the eighth to own a 8-4 lead. Heading into the bottom of the ninth, the Eagles trailed 10-4. However, the Eagles rallied to score three times but it wouldn't be enough. Ben Matos highlighted the frame with a two-run single. Garcia finished 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
