Game Overview
Clarksville, Ark. - The Eagles moved to 5-1 on the season with another dominating non-conference win Sunday taking a 17-4 run-rule victory over Principia College. Over their three games this weekend, the Eagles had an offensive surge scoring a combined 44 runs. Principia actually held a 3-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third before the Eagles' bats started to heat up. Joseph Coon had a two-run single to highlight a three-run bottom half of the inning. The Eagles then tacked on four runs in the fourth on RBI from Rene Garcia, Collin May, Joseph Hardin and Conner Reed. Three more runs by the Eagles offense were added in the fifth. After six complete innings, the Eagles held an 11-4 advantage. The Eagles added even more fireworks in the seventh scoring six runs to secure the win. Joseph Hardin blasted a two-run homer and Taber Childs followed with a grand slam to cap the game. Not to be outdone, starter Will Utchman went the distance for a complete game win. Utchman scattered four hits over seven innings and fanned five. He issued just one walk.

The Eagles will travel to Batesville to take on Lyon College February 25 and then go to Georgetown, Texas, for a three-games series against Southwestern University.
