Game Three Overview
Clarksville, Ark. – Concordia University Texas scored four runs to open the game and kept a steady dose of offense going throughout the game to pick up a 21-10 win. In the top of the third, Concordia loaded the bases with no outs. The Eagles got a fly out, but the Tornados scored on the play. Concordia followed with a two-run single to move ahead 7-0. Heading into the bottom of the third, the Eagles trailed 8-0.
Britton Smith ripped a double down the left field line to score
Langdon Townsend for the Eagles first run of the game. Ben Matos later followed with an RBI single to make it 8-2.
Taber Childs drove in another run with a single to trim it to 8-3. Townsend sent a shot over the right field fence to cut it to 8-4. Concordia loaded the bases in the sixth with no outs and scored once heading into the bottom half of the frame. White cranked out a two-run homer in the sixth to bring it to 10-6. Back-to-back solo home runs gave Concordia a 12-6 lead. With two runners in scoring position, White roped a two-run single and brought the score to 15-8 in the seventh. The Eagles scored twice in the bottom of the eighth and still trailed 16-10. Seven Eagle players had two hits each.
