Clarksville, Ark. - The Eagles used a big second inning and strong bullpen work to defeat Westminster College 6–2 on Sunday afternoon at home. The Eagles improve to 5-0 behind timely power hitting and a deep pitching staff that limited Westminster to just three hits.
Big Second Inning Sets the Tone
After Westminster plated a run in the top of the second, the Eagles responded immediately with a five-run explosion:

Matthew McDonald launched a three-run homer to give Ozarks the lead.

Gabriel Ellison followed with an RBI single.

A wild pitch allowed another run to score, making it 5–1.
The Eagles never relinquished control after the inning. Ozarks added insurance in the sixth when Joseph Coon crushed a solo home run to extend the lead to 6–1. Westminster scored once in the eighth on a fielder's choice, but the Ozarks bullpen shut the door the rest of the way.
Pitching Dominates Late
Starter Aiden Shea worked four innings, allowing one run while striking out four despite issuing five walks.
From there, the bullpen combined for five innings of one-run ball:
