Sherman, Texas - The University of the Ozarks fell 9-7 to Austin College on February 27 at Baker Field in Sherman, Texas.
Ozarks jumped out early but couldn't hold off a five-inning surge from Austin, which scored nine runs between the fifth and seventh innings to claim the comeback win.

Austin's Big Middle Innings
Austin broke through in the fifth, scoring four runs to take a 4-3 lead. The hosts added two more in the sixth and three in the seventh, capitalizing on walks and defensive miscues to build a 9-5 cushion.
Ozarks' Late Push
Ozarks battled back in the sixth.
Brett Burks singled home a run, and
Michael White followed with an RBI single to briefly reclaim a 5-4 lead before Austin responded in the bottom half.
Trailing 9-5 in the ninth, Ellison doubled home Childs, and a wild pitch allowed another run to score, but the rally fell short.

Jake Dempsey (2-2) took the loss after allowing six runs (five earned) over 5.2 innings.
Ozarks will look to regroup Saturday as the Eagles take on Austin in a double-header.
