Austin, Texas - The Eagles baseball team was held scoreless on just three hits as Concordia University Texas completed a three-game sweep in a 6-0 win Friday afternoon.
Concordia struck first in the second inning on a solo home run by Jake Townsend and steadily added on from there. A sacrifice fly in the fourth made it 2-0 before the Tornados created separation in the sixth, using a two-RBI double from Jett Warner to push the lead to 4-0. Warner delivered again in the eighth with a two-run single to cap the scoring at 6-0.
The Eagles struggled to generate offense throughout the game. Langdon Townsend led the Eagles with two hits, while Connor Reed added the team's only other hit. Ozarks put a few runners on with three walks and two hit-by-pitches but couldn't come up with a timely hit, leaving eight runners on base.
The Eagles return home for a series against University of Dallas April 18-19.
