Clarksville, Ark. – University of Dallas handled the Eagles a 6-2 setback on Sunday behind timely power hitting and a strong bullpen effort.
Dallas set the tone early in the second inning on a solo home run to for a 1-0 lead and then added two more in the third frame.
From there, Dallas kept adding insurance runs with the long ball. Jeremy Gabrillo delivered twice, homering in both the seventh and ninth innings.
The Eagles managed just five hits and being shut out through eight innings. They finally broke through in the ninth when Michael White hit a two-run homer, but it was too late.
Dallas totaled nine hits and drew five walks, while Ozarks left seven runners on base and couldn't capitalize on limited opportunities.
The Eagles will end the season in Louisiana against Centenary College April 24-25.
