Shreveport, La. - Centenary College limited the Eagles to five hits to secure a 6-1 win Thursday night at Shehee Stadium.
Centenary broke a scoreless tie in the third inning on a solo home run. They added another run in the fourth and then created separation in the sixth, scoring three runs on a series of RBI singles and a sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 5-0.
The Eagles struggled to generate offense throughout the night but got on the board in the eighth inning when
Tyler Michlitsch crushed a solo home run to left field. However, Centenary answered in the bottom half of the inning with an unearned run to push the margin to 6-1.
At the plate, Michlitsch led Ozarks with a 2-for-3 performance and the team's lone RBI, while
Langdon Townsend,
Michael White, and
Rene Garcia each added a hit.
The Eagles and Gents are schedule to play Friday at 3:00 p.m.
