Shreveport, La. - Centenary College erupted offensively and never looked back defeating the Eagles 15-1 on Friday afternoon at Shehee Stadium.
Ozarks struck first in the opening inning when
Langdon Townsend delivered an RBI single to score
Taber Childs, giving the Eagles an early 1-0 lead.
Centenary answered in a big way in the second inning, highlighted by a grand slam from Blaine Birkelbach that flipped the game and gave the Gents a 5-1 advantage.
The game broke open in the fifth inning as Centenary plated six runs on a combination of timely hits, walks, and a sacrifice fly to push the score to 14-1.
The Eagles and Gents will finish their series tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
