Marshall, Texas-The men's tennis team hit the road Friday and fell to the East Texas Baptist University Tigers in American Southwest Conference play 7-2.

Melle Van Duijn was responsible for both a doubles win and the lone singles win. Van Duijn and Spencer Turner posted a 8-4 win over Cody Highsmith and John Herr at the No. 1 position. At No. 1 singles, Van Duijn recorded a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win over Highsmith. The Eagles move to 7-10 overall and 2-2 in the ASC. The Tigers are now 5-9 overall and 4-1 in league play.

The Eagles will be back in action against Belhaven University Saturday.
