Christie (Shuffield) Shoulders starred for the women's basketball team at Ozarks from 1998 to 2002. She remains seventh in career scoring (1,264) and sixth in rebounding (706) and is one of only six players in program history to surpass the 1,000-point, 700-rebound mark. She still holds the school record for most blocks in a season (75) and a career (228). She was the 2001 ASC East Preseason Player of the Year and earned All-ASC first team honors in both 2000 and 2002. She was named to the ASC All-Academic team for three years. As a senior, she led the Lady Eagles to a 19-7 record and an ASC East Division co-championship as she averaged 13.8 points and 9.0 rebounds a game. In 2002 she was named the University's Female Athlete of the Year as well as the Hurie Award recipient as the most outstanding senior. She currently is a math professor at Ozarks.
