Kara (Bartholomew) Johnson was one of the premiere players for the women's softball program, starring for the Eagles from 2004-07. The fleet-footed outfielder still holds career records for hits (170) and stolen bases (74) and holds the program's single-season batting average record of .460 as well as single season records for hits (63) and stolen bases (29), all in 2007. She is second in career runs scored (91) and at bats (466) and is in the top five in career batting average (.365), games played (153) and games started (151). The four-year starter earned ASC All East Division second-team honors in 2004 and 2007 and was named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Team in 2007. During her career, she helped the Eagles average more than 15 victories a season.
