Marilyn Bauer was one of the most well-rounded, versatile female players in school history. She earned All-AIC honors her senior season and was All-AIC Honorable Mention as a junior. At the time of her induction, Bauer ranked ninth in school history in points (1,160), eighth in rebounds (619) and third in assists (380), earning her the distinction of being the only female player at Ozarks to score more than 1,000 points, tally more than 600 rebounds and record more than 300 assists in a career. She owns numerous records at Ozarks, including most steals in a career (228), most steals in a season (92), most steals in a game (8) and most assists in a game (13). The 5-foot-8 star guard once hit 28-of-32 free throws in a win over Arkansas College. Marilyn coached at Dardanelle, Ark., for 14 years where she was named conference coach of the year in basketball, volleyball and softball, and led the track team to back-to-back state titles. She also coached girl’s basketball at Lincoln High School.
